Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
The electrical and electronic equipment we sell (Birth Alarm, shears, weighing indicators and systems, Infaco secateurs, fence energisers, ear-tag readers, chargers) falls under the French WEEE scheme. It must never be put in household waste: it contains components that need separate treatment and materials that can be recycled.
Our take-back obligation
As a distributor we are required to take back your old electrical or electronic equipment free of charge when you buy new equipment of an equivalent type, up to the quantity purchased.
Take-back is free: no handling fee, no treatment fee. Returned appliances are handed to an approved operator for depollution, reuse or recycling.
Free one-for-one take-back on delivery
For any order delivered to your address, you can hand your old equivalent appliance to the carrier on delivery, free of charge, without shipping it back yourself.
Just mention it in the "Notes" field when ordering, or email us before delivery: we inform the carrier and the old appliance leaves with them.
Where to return old equipment
You can send it back or drop it off at our address: Les Calies 4, 16420 Lesterps, France.
You can also drop it off without any purchase at your local municipal recycling centre, or at the collection points of electrical equipment distributors. The national directory of collection points is available at quefairedemesdechets.ademe.fr.
Batteries and accumulators belong to a separate scheme: remove them from the appliance and place them in the dedicated collection bins.
Eco-contribution
The price of the equipment concerned includes an eco-contribution, passed on in full to the approved producer responsibility organisation that funds collection and recycling. It is shown separately on the product page, in the basket, at checkout and on the invoice. It is not added to the price: it is part of it.
